Generators are transported from the company’s warehouses at its headquarters in Riyadh to each of the mentioned sites according to the highest safety standards, by transporting them by a special flatbed truck for transporting generators with tanks, with the use of a crane for unloading on site.
An external diesel tank is provided with each generator, made of iron with a safety valve, according to the highest Saudi specifications and standards required. The tank capacity ranges from 1000 to 40,000 liters in a circular shape, with tank bases made to a height of 60 cm.
There are two outlets from the tank for diesel to feed the generators, by connecting the hoses from the tank to each generator with the installation of a suction pump in each generator. The hoses are isolated inside a large plastic pipe and buried so that they are not visible above the ground and are not exposed to damage, with a warning sign placed at the location of the pipe to indicate the presence of the hoses.
The generators are equipped according to the highest safety and security specifications, as an integrated electronic safety system is used. In the event of a leak or any problems in the generator, whether mechanical or electrical, it is automatically disconnected and a warning message appears on the screen stating the type of problem occurring in the generator. There is also an electricity regulator that protects the generator and the center from an increase, decrease or fluctuation in the electricity voltage.
Also, the generator is provided with a ground cable inside the generator and connected to the silencer, and an external ground cable will be installed for each generator with the installation also for the distribution panels. Safety stickers and signs will be provided with the text “Danger of Electric Shock” in English and Arabic, in addition to warning stickers on diesel tanks with the text “Danger Flammable and No Smoking”. The size of the stickers ranges from 40 cm wide to 30 cm high, so that they are clearly legible from a distance of 5 meters (50 feet) and will be replaced in case of future damage.
Safety valves will be installed in diesel tanks to prevent leakage, with an upper tank vent for ventilation. Generators will be installed on fixed bases with proper installation adherence to safety guidelines.
Three large fire extinguishers, suitable for each site, of carbon dioxide and foam extinguishers for fuel, will also be provided, with sand buckets provided for each site.
In addition, workers and technicians work under safety guidelines by wearing all safety requirements.
